Vintage Block Giveaway!!

Because I’m crazy busy this week with my youngest daughter’s wedding, and because I am currently out of town at my nephew’s graduation, I think I’ll give away this fabulous vintage (if you call 1963 vintage!!) handstitched quilt block.  I’m not sure of the pattern because I’m such a random quilter and don’t know my patterns, but it doesn’t match my other faded out blocks.  This particular piece was kept in a sealed baggie for 50 years!!

    Okay - for the third time, hope this posts this time. My last wedding was 10 monts ago and it was mine. Beautiful day, nuptials in the parlor of my grandparents farm house with our 80 closest friends/family. What a memory!

    The last wedding I attended was for my great niece. It was held at a beautiful catholic church and the reception was at a local VFW. They had transformed that hall into something quite spectacular! Love your site!

    I won’t tell you about the last wedding I attended but the best one was all centered on gerbera daisies. the colors of the bridesmaids were simple warm pink with burnt orange ribbon belts and the tables had one daisy at each place setting and then a beautiful small framed watercolor of them in the center of each table. It was elegant and fabulous!

    The last wedding I attended had a scottish flair - cold early January morning,men in kilts and bagpipes at the…..DONUT reception. Even the wedding cake was a stacked pile of donuts! Fun.
    - love the yellow and white quilt square.

    I like the quilt square a lot!!
    The last wedding that I went to was a disaster! But so many people including myself did a lot of work and then the bride had too much to drink and got mean. I don’t think that will happen at your daughters wedding and it didn’t happen at my daughters wedding but this other wedding was BAD! You asked for the last one I had been to. :)

    Last wedding was my friends son…….very sweet and understated……just perfect for a couple fresh out of college. Everyone had huge smiles for the couple that had dated since 6th grade……it was just so sweet.
