Spring is Springing!
Finally, the snow is all melted and the temps are rising! The ducks are getting back in the water again, but into the small water tub I have for them and NOT their wading pool. Don’t you think this would make for some nasty drinking water? Why don’t they care??
Pretty soon I’m gonna need to clean the poop off the patio and get them focused on the back of the yard. I also got my first egg again since November, woo hoo!!

If you want to stop them from sitting in their drinking water, cover half of the container with chicken wire (with the holes in it) and leave just enough room for their entire head to fit in (so they can still wash their heads & eyes), then they can only drink out of it and not swim in it - it works a treat for me! Just make sure that the edges of the wire is protected in a way that there is no sharp edges. (I used black tape)
