What a fun fishing weekend!  My hubby, my dad, and me!  We started out Friday near Cawker City.  First stop, the Little Bait Shop for minnows.  And just a few miles away is Glen Elder Lake.

I just gotta say, if you find your fishing honey spot, life is great!  Here it is……

The secret spot.  Now don’t tell anybody, especially anyone who lives in Kansas that likes to fish, but we caught (put in the boat) 58 crappie in an afternoon.  Maybe another 40 were lucky and got to stay for awhile longer because, for various reasons, we lost ‘em before they made it to the boat!

One, after another, after another……..you see how it goes?  Pretty much wears a person down!!

What a beautiful day!  Calm, warm, just perfect.  One last cast……

You must call LAST CAST on a day like this or you’ll NEVER leave!! 

Because when you leave a lake in Kansas, you might never know what’s behind you…..

Only then are you glad you had your last cast when you did!!
