I hope you like ducks! You may see more ducks than you ever wanted on my blog. I’ve been researching ducks for awhile now and finally decided I must have some for my backyard. I don’t think that my SH (sweet husband) knew this, probably because he was opposed to ducks in the backyard from the get go. So, early on March 5th, I got my partner in abDUCtion, daughter Kelsey, and we drove 30 min. to an Orscheln farm store in a neighboring town.

We picked out 5 Khaki Campbell females. Yes, they are all in that little box Kelsey is holding. I must admit, we were pretty excited on the way home

We put them in a kids sandbox that I found recently for FREE on Craigslist (love Craigslist!). A corner of my kitchen was the best place to keep them, mostly because of space issues and the fact that it became the center stage for entertainment in our house.

Kacey, our 12 year old Pomeranian, didn’t quite know what to think about the ducks. They weren’t scared for long and started to eat, drink and poop A LOT, right away.

That is such a cool blog. I wish we could have kept my ducks! By the way, that whole poops a lot thing is kind of an understatement.

I’ve been looking around http://www.whatupduck.com and actually am impressed by the amazing content material here. I work the nightshift at my job and it really gets boring. I’ve been coming here for the past couple nights and reading. I simply wanted to let you know that I’ve been enjoying what I have seen and I look forward to reading more.
